About
Born and raised in Georgia, Medium Build -- a.k.a. Nick Carpenter -- now splits his time between hometowns in Nashville, Tennessee and Anchorage, Alaska. Following his breakthrough 2024 album, Country, his much-anticipated new album, King of Having Fun, is due on September 4 via slowplay/Island Records. The album was recorded live in-studio with his closest friends and collaborators, and is fueled by a fresh rock-and-roll energy paired with Medium Build's familiar lo-fi-meets-indie-and country sound. His biting lyrical insight and potent self-examination endure, as Carpenter explores country, rock, indie and more across the album's 14 tracks. Medium Build is on the road supporting Mumford & Sons this August ahead of his fall "King of Having Fun on Tour" headline tour.
